Wildlife, Landscape, Architecture, Airshows and much more.   I shy away from any photography involving people.

I have been interested in photography since high school and have jumped in and out of taking pictures for almost 40 years.    Ansel Adams is my early inspiration and still my favorite photographer.  The early years of film photography were filled with elation with the occasional wonderful capture and frustration with multitudes of misses.  I still have an old Pentax K-1000 I will run a roll of film through once in a while but with the advent of digital I gained a whole new perspective.  I still feel the elation and frustration yet now with immediate results--which can be both good and bad.   There was a 5 year period of my life that I did not pick up my camera.  I had lost my enthusiasm for photography.  With the advent of cell phones, social media and digital coming of age I assumed the art of photography would die as the world would be flooded with photos from everyone posting anything all the time, diluting the art of photography.  I also was going through a very dark and trouble time in my personal and professional life and I lost my focus.  I knew to be the photographer I wanted to be it took focus and dedication.  I was not mentally there and as I worked through my dark time I left my camera in the bag and on the shelf.

My self-imposed exile from photography ended as I one day felt a calling to pick up my camera.  I found I was wrong about photography  dying a slow cell phone induced death.  Instead with the advent of technology and new developments in editing software, lenses and cameras,  a whole new level of photography has emerged.  Spectacular results above and beyond imagination are now possible with few boundaries.  I now look at the world through a different set of eyes and have gained "focus" to be the best photographer I can be.   My time behind the lens is now more fun and fulfilling than it has ever been.  Photography is my meditation and  a deep, spiritual experience.

Most of my photography on display has been taken within  the last five years with sprinkling of some of my older stuff  from the archives. I am blessed and honored to share my photographs  through my website.  I continue to develop as a photographer and will be updating my site often with new portfolios, photos and blogs of adventures past, present and future.  I will share my never ending search for that perfect photograph!

I am an amateur photographer by choice.  I do not sell my photos for profit but will make prints available at my cost if interested.  Thank you for visiting and come back soon.
